Fishersville United Methodist Church Child Development Center was established in 2005. The original name of the Center was Noah’s Ark Preschool. Begun as a half day preschool, we now offer full time care for working families.
FUMC Child Development Center is a ministry of Fishersville United Methodist Church. In compliance with code of Virginia, the Program is exempt from being licensed and is classified as an “Exempt” child development center. The Code of Virginia, Section 63.0 – 196.3, allows child day centers operated by religious institutions the opportunity to file for an exemption from licensing by meeting documentation and other requirements specified within the exemption law.
Robyn Brunk is the director of the Child Development Center. Robyn grew up in Nelson County before venturing to college. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University. In 2005, she had the opportunity to return to James Madison University to earn a Master’s in Arts in Early Childhood Education licensed to teach Preschool through 3rd grade. She taught preschool for 11 years for Augusta County Schools and the Head Start program. Robyn welcomes the opportunity to share her love for teaching with children and families in her ministry role as Director.
She lives in Augusta County with her husband and two daughters. She and her family love the outdoors, sports and playing with their dog, a black German shepherd.
